pretty nice design, but there is 1 thing that i totaly dislike, and thats this typo where "welcome back < userlolz>" thing is.
and a few minor things, but sadly not everyone likes it the same way and you did it for a client so i guess most of the minor things i don't like are from the client wished in this way :P

I guess you wouldn't understand since you're just a student, but when you become a professional you'll realize that you design the project as the client wants it, not just what looks pretty on DeviantArt. This client was very specific with how they wanted the site to look and how they wanted the content layed out, and we had several in-person consultations at our agency to get the look of their logo, cards, and website right. If I had total creative freedom on a job or if I ever had spare time to design for fun, I'd blow your mind. ;)
